just for fun.

This is pretty much what Hunter's personality is like right now. I love it and woudn't expect anthing less! These two are best buddies and I love watching them grow together and learn from each other.

The kiddos

Kaylee will be in 1st Grade and Hunter will be in Kindergarten after the summer. They are both very excited and can't wait to go to school together. Hunter is very reserved and the BIG change will be a little hard for him because he doesnt do well in big crowds ( more then 5-10 people he doesnt know) or change ( being somewhere new) at all. I am hoping this go well with him and he adjusts well quickly, but we will see. Hunter loves to ride his bike and was rifing it without training wheels before Kaylee was, which he remindes her of all the time!

A fun find!

This is a project I recently did and was very happy with the way it turned out. I bought it for $30 and re-furbished it and sold it for a great profit. When Wade realized I could make a pretty good profit on this furniture re-furbishing buisness he has stopped giving me such a hard time about it ;)

Catching up...

Since it has been a long long time since i have posted I will need to catch up a little, so here we go...
I find it funny that when I take Kaylee to school I am picky about what she wears and always make sure her clothes etc. are matching. Wade on the other hand feels that she it perfectly fine dressing herself and he doesn't feel she needs any guidence ( i let her do it on her own, i just help a little ;) so when I picked her up from school one day she was wearing this: (notice the socks)

{Kaylee}

Hunter had to have his own backpack to match his sissy.

Kaylee has been waiting for this day for months! She is so excited to learn new things and meet new friends.

She looks so much like Wade in this picture :)

I am so proud of our sweet little Kaylee. She is always wanting to learn and for Wade and I to teach her new things. I have noticed that she likes to hang out with kids older than her because she likes to act older than she really is which is good and bad at the same time :)
A few things Kaylee likes to do at this age:
1) She is very detalied and makes sure you don't break a routine. We have a routine that we follow every night to ensure that everything for bedtime gets done and nothing is overlooked. If Wade or i even try to skip a step or are to tired to do one of the things on the list she makes it very clear that we are not following the routine like we should and she tells us so!
2) She loves her little brother even though she calles him her " little bother". She will walk up to people ( we don't even know ) and introduce herself and then introduce Hunter by saying " this is Hunter My little Bother"
3) Kaylee loves to have he nails painted and her hair done. She usually has it ripped out in less then an hour but still like to have it done.
4) She likes to say and do everything that Mommy and Daddy say which isn't always the nicest thing or most of the time she picks the wrong word to say at the wrong time in the most stressed moment possible. We will be standing line at the store waiting to check out and either Hunter or Kaylee will say " Why don't these people move so we can but our stuff and leave i wanna go home", or they will say " Mom! i need to poop"! or better yet " Mommy! Hunter called me a butt and then I punched him and he hit me back" (while she is crying).
I do love this little girl with all of my heart and am so greatful she is in our family. Wade and I learn so much from her example everyday, more than she will ever know! We love you Kaylee!

over the fence

Lately I have been amazed at how clean and maintained the backyard has been. When I say this, I am refering to the kids toys. I went outside a few weeks ago and was picking up the toys etc. and asked hunter where all of his toys were? I had gone to the store and purchased a few new balls, trucks, scooter etc. and i didn't see them in the backyard anywhere. So...we looked in hunter's room, kaylee's room even in the bathroom, and I just couldn't figure out were these new toys had disapered too.
So, I asked hunter again " Hunter where are your new balls mommy just baught you at the store," and his reply (with a half smile of his face) said "Sissy threw them over the fence". So of course I go get kaylee and ask her if she threw them over the fence, and of course she replied " No! Hunter did it!" I then explained to my children that throwing stuff over the fence is not good, and that we can't do that becuase the dog next door will eat them and they wont ever come back. They seemed to get the point and told me that they understood and wouldn't do it again. Well........you can only guess what happens again, and again, again!
Hunter seems to think the our 3 neighboring backyards should share in our home decor, toys, clothes, kids size 10 shoes, and an abundant amount of rocks and charcoal. We have had our neighbor tell us she was sitting out in her back yard and over flies 3 pieces of charcoal nearling knocking her out and hitting her window.
I have spanked him, put him in time out ( longer than a 3 year old should be) and even grounded him from going out in the backyard, but NOTHING works because he continues to do it!
I had decorated our table on our porch with a pretty table cloth, coordinating material, and even a pot for flowers, and I was quite proud of it. But I guess it didn't belong in our backyard and hunter felt our neighbor ( who he nearly knocked out... so she claims) needed it more than we did, so.......he threw the pot and peice of material over the fence! I can only imagine what she thought when she looked out her patio window and saw a flying pot come over her fence! She hasn't knock on our door yet so we are in the clear for now :)
What can I say! This little boy keeps me on my toes ALL .THE. TIME.!

I love poems!

When I read this poem (above) it makes me think of the happy moments I have/will spend with Wade and my sweet kids. I smile everytime I think of the moments that make me remember how blessed I am to have such sweet and patient children. I know I was sent the 2 spirits for a reason, not only for me to help teach them, but for them to teach me! Kaylee is such a sweeteart. She can tell when I am frustrated or upset and she will come give me a hug and say " Mom it is okay" or "I love you mom". Hunter is the same way except he doesn't give kisses with his hugs, he give "strewberries" and it leaves a big slobbery mess on your cheek! I love it either way though.

Just thought I would share a few.

The "Kevin" movie

Kaylee and Hunter LOVE this movie! They call it " The Kevin Movie" the bird in it is named Kevin and I guess that is why the call it what they do. I find it amuzing that kids find such fun names for things all by themselves.

Love this...

Wade and I had a great time in Sedona! We had WAY to much food and found that we were eating just to eat, we weren't even hungry but we wanted to eat at a different place for every meal so that we could try as many places as possible. Well let me tell you that doing that turned out to not be such a good idea after the second day, but if you know or can guess that didn't stop us.

We stayed is a cabin on the Oak Creek just ouside of town, and it was so peaceful and relaxing. We could leave the door to the cabin open and hear the water rushing down the creek all day and all night it never got old.

I am glad that we could go and have such a great time together!

I did realize how different the people and life style up there is though, the people are so trustworthy and everything is really slow going and really relaxing. It is a life style I need to work on having in our house. I did notice while we are on our trip that no matter how much you stress out and worry it doen't get you any closer or any more help you relax at all, and how i need to focus on that in my personal life. It is so easy to get caught up on this fast paced world and forget the important things and your priorities that should be first before everythingelse. it doesn't matter how your house looks all the time, or your car, or how many things you can do in one day. All that matters is what truly makes you happey, NOT stressed!

Wade and I talked alot and I must say that i was glad to have his attention 100% of the time with NO PS3, internet etc. Wade is such a loving husband and we have grow together and taught each other so much in the 6 years we have been married.

just a few thankfuls...

With working so much over the last 6 months I never got a chance to express my love and appreciation for the things I am thankful for.

1.) I am thankful for a loving Father in Heaven who is always there when I need someone to talk to. He never tells me he is to busy to listen or has more important or other things to do, I know that when I am talking with him i can fell in my heart that he is always listening and guiding me with his whole heart. I have had many thing over the past few years that bother me and stress me out and he is the only person who really understands and makes me feel loved. I know that without him I would be lost in this is world and life would be more overwhelming than it is.
2.) I am thankful for prayer. Whithout prayer I would not have the relationship I have with Heavenly Father.
3.) I am thankful for the streghth I am given everyday to do the things I need to do to take care of my kids, work, and the house. I have a great desire to succeed and know that when I set my mind on something I always get it done! I am blessed to have a Heavenly Father who loves me and blesses me with this strength.
4.) I am thankful for my 2 beautiful children. They are my joy in life. I do yell WAY to much, but they are always quick to hug me and tell me they love me when they can tell that I am having a rough day. Kaylee and Hunter are always telling me that they love me and I love hearing that! They are such an example to me and I learn so much from them on a daily basis.

Pictures

We have plenty more to show off but I am still in the preocess of editing them. My good friend from work took these for me and she did great!
